Hello,
I have a bad past in design and therefore have tried to right myself when it comes to design.
Here is a future site prospect for me, so far I have done the basic structure of the site and just wanted to know if you guys thought it a decent enough design to continue with.

1. rounded corners in the masthead image are choppy.
2. Site title needs help. get more creative with this, and create a logo and branding
3. not a fan of the PS 90's embossing.
4. Its best to gather all content, organize into valid semantic xhtml, create prototype in PS, then css is last.
First basic few steps in building a webpage
1. Gather and collect content.
2. Organize the content into meaningful semantic valid HTML
3. Design the prototype
4. Style using CSS
