There are starving Amercians, and according to Feed America's statistics, 37 million Americans are living in poverty. The Feed America network secures and distributes more than 2 billion pounds of donated food and grocery products annually, and supports approximately 63,000 local charitable agencies that distribute food directly to Americans in need.

IE8 is proud to be donating food and raising awareness for the Feeding America organization through its Browser For The Better campaign. If you would like to contribute 8 meals to Feed America all you have to do is download and install IE8 from:

Wow, hello Microsoft, nice of you to drop by?
Erm hate to say this but perhaps your post re-enforces that general notion that Americans do not understand 'Irony' or by the sound of it 'Tongue in cheek' My post wasn't really to be taken that seriously.
I ought to state that your efforts are of course noble and not to be disparaged; and are in the spirit of that great American tradition of philanthropy, although it would be nice if you gave back to society without requiring something in return? but then perhaps you already do that as well.
One thing though Nate most countries have a level of poverty and citizens that need helping and this situation has been worsened recently by the global meltdown of economy that stemmed from really bad banking practises and the debts sold on to other countries. Currently the UK sits at the bottom of the European poverty league - sadly.

Mmmm, their marketing
Mmmm, their marketing department really does seem to be eroding any goodwill that their developers might be fostering through the improvement of their products, by coming out with some quite dubious sorts of promotional techniques.
