Hi, i validated this page

The images are declared dynamically by PHP (be happy to give this to anyone who needs it), but I'm wondering if the CSS is elegant for the layers that fade in and out. I'm also concerned about wither or not the javascript can be leaner (see this function here if you're interested):

If you understand both js and css in conjunction and use js to control css, your feedback is especially valuable to me.
