can someone plz help me out i need to make a webpage for a class where i need to use CSS and create an american flag my first idea would be to use tables... can anyone help me out im lost at this point in time..

Why you dont use a simple grafic?
IMHO its impossible to create such grafics with css only.

I guess, what he's looking for is something like http://www.kiesler.at/static/playground/flag/ -- maybe built with css or something.
Any ideas?
