Both instances were quotes not closed correctly.
Looks like a good case for using spans to contain quotes.

Although I was the last poster in one of those threads I categorically deny forgetting to close quotes or for that matter ever having forgotten to do so, it wasn't me, honest!

No, I didn't think I had used quotes either :? There is a third example floating around in the middle of a thread somewhere - about a week or maybe two - before the "Hugo" one above. But I can't remember the topic...sorry not much help
