Hi I was wondering if there was a way to block urls from site checks and forum questions once they had been looked at and the question solved. I have noticed the css forum topic coming ahead of the actual website in some google searches for sites I have made. Also meta data can show up first as well (having been posted in the html doc in the forum). I am self-taught at the moment so maybe am missing something in my understanding of how it all works but is there a way to fix that. I'd post an example but that would probably compound the problem.
Thanks needy

Hi Needy, As you have worked

Hi Needy,
As you have worked out it's best not to put the name of the website in any of the code you post.

If you post a link to the topics that need to be edited I will do what I can.

Hello Tony - here are the links - there are a few of them I'm afraid. I was encouraged by a moderator saying - "is there anywhere to look at it online?" but maybe they meant just write the site name without making it a link? or does that do the same thing?

So - it really isn't a good idea to do site checks through forums...

Could you make this message self-destruct afterwards too?
I do appreciate your efforts.

Hi needy,
I have done what I can.
The search cache will still show the links up for a while.

In the future, if you add links to sites use a full link and make the text something like my site
my site
No follow is added to links, so in theory the search engines wont follow it and shouldn't pick up the href value.
