Crying
Could anybody tell me what's wrong with my code? I do it in dreamweaver, the css style works except the text-shadow. But if I preview it ( IE browser), none of the styles works. What's wrong with it? why the text-shadow doesn't work? And why all of them don't work in the browser? I am learning CSS now. If the question is stupid. I am very sorry. The following is the code. Thank you very much.

<html>
<head>
<title>index</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
<style type="css/text">
b {
font-size: 30pt;
font-style: georgia;
font-weight: bold;
color: #009900;
text-shadow: 0.5em 0.5em silver;
text-align: center;
}

</style>
</head>

<body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" text="#000000" leftmargin="0" rightmargin="0" topMargin="0">
<table width="800" height="600" border="0" CellSpacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#99cc99" >
<tr>
<td valign="top" align="center"><b>Functions
of the interdisciplinary team</b></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>&

</td>
</tr>
</table>
</body>
</html>

what's wrong with the code?

Hi Milily,
A couple of things stand out.
Firstly I think in your stylesheet you ment b{ to be body{.
Also you don't have any body tags around the table.

font-style : georgia;I don't think that's right - font-style is for italic; font-face is for declaring the look of the font.

I turned of HTML code in your example; I think the style is meant for the B tag, it's a bit clearer now. But the HTML still needs the body tags... should be like:

<html>
<head>
....
</head>
<body>
...
</body>
</html>
