Hi,

Does any one know how to ecrypt external CSS and JavaScript files, so that the hackers cannot read them using Notepads etc?

Ps: After encryption the encrypted files should be accessible from the related html files Smile!
cheers

forget it. if it's posted on the web, it's public. Whatever means you go to to hide from hackers, the hackers will go one further.

How to encrypt external CSS files?

Do you really write such wonderful stuff that people will be wiping out your bandwidth just to get to it? I write some pretty nice stuff, but there's nothing there that isn't already stolen from any number of other sites. If enough people steal css or javascript from you, you'll become a 'name', and that's a Good Thing®.

cheers,

How to encrypt external CSS files?

There is no way to stop everyone, but if you're attempting to stop people from directly accessing your CSS file, you can do that in a myriad of ways. You can imbed it in a php file and import it and set a http_referrer check to check if it's a direct query, and if so, die(); thus ending the page, but really, all these ways would most likely stop the people that don't know how to use CSS and the web in general, so you're probably wasting your time. If you still want to know, ask, and I can post a script/snippet you can put in your file to stop them. Wink
